Bangkok/21st - i love it

i am on 2 day MC now. unexpectedly, i caught a flu the night i was back. so yah, the kind doc prescribed a two day MC. no wonder he is so popular with the patients. which gives me some time to just rest and blog abt my wonderful, fantastic, fabulous and simply happy trip.

DAY ONE- Friday

had a afternoon flight. first time with thai airways and both of us were pleasantly aurprised. it is quite cheap for the level of service offered. 2 thumbs ups. nice food, too. why do we hear so many horror stories about the airplane food?

we had some confusion when we reached bkk int airport coz we didnt know who was our transfer guide. but after 15 min of searching n then 15 min of waiting for the whole group to be found, we finally could be transfered to the whole. a bit pissed about the whole waiting but i didnt want to be unhappy during my bday! and besides, we were to first to be dropped off.

first day/night was pretty short. we went to see Tiger Show. haix. kinda depressing. i duno whether if it's worse to be tiger show girl or a prostitute. maybe tiger show girl is the lesser of the 2 evils since the customer r basically see no touch. even got live show performed to the tune of BAD DAY.

its kinda fascinating/horrifying/entertaining and disgusting all rolled into one.

then went to the infamous Patpong Night Market. price is exorbitant and they knew it therefore just walkaway and you will be able to get a better price. there, i discovered that Watsons in Thailand carried Tiffa, a cosmetic line under Kanebo which is not even available here in Sg >,<

so i had no choice but to bring it back. hahahaha.

we ended our night out with a thrilling tuktuk ride. clinging onto the metal railings for dear life. ha. it IS thrilling yet enjoyable coz u know u wont get into an accident coz they are such pro drivers. at least i felt that way. and our day ended just like that. too short!!!!

DAY TWO- Saturday
Woke up bright and early for the morning breakfast and walk to board the sky train to Mo Chit AKA to the famous weekend Chartuchak market . We were to meet his friends ( who happen to be in Bkk for a company retreat) but we were early! so we went to the park. ;)

i bought so much stuff that i was so scared that poor bf would be absolutely bankrupt and have NO baht for me to spend tmr!! *horrors!! :P/ but after calculating... i spend less/ about 70SGD? for a pair of black/grey skinny jeans ( LOVEIT!!!) and 2 t shirts, 2 tops, 2 dresses, 1 bag and 1 pair of kitten heels. eh... with in 2 hours? hahahaha. imagine spending more time there. can die.

and poor bf. he couldn't fit into the jeans that he wanted to buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! eh... so sad!! such nice design at such gd price but he couldn't fit into it. the thais are all so slim looking!

so he doesnt like chartuchak since he couldnt anything he wanted there. hahahah. but i LOVEit. i guess we really walked a lot. bf walked so much on his lousy slipper that his heel cracked. lousy slipper n no moisturizing. see la. guys! dont be lazy and think its sissy to do moisturizing. its more than being vain. its about protecting ur skin!

we didnt just stop there. we went to MBK straight!!! just kidding. we took train to Siam and then had a lunch break @ pizza hut. THEN to MBK where i didnt like from the previous trip. where he got his shirts and where we got most of food to bring back home.

after MBK, we settled for a more comfortable ride in the taxi.

when we reached the hotel... thats when i booked the dinner cruise. he wasnt so enthu but he agreed coz i really wan to take cruise and do something more memorable than shopping! so we did! signed up for the exp dinner cruise!

And not forgetting the Dunkin Donuts from MBK. YUM!since bf is suffering from cracked heel, its time for some R&R. we went for his fav activity in thailand - massage. but he is too "fat and strong" qouted from the massue... that she didnt have enuf strength to stretch him all the way. i just couldnt stop giggling after hearing that. and i giggle even more from hearing all the heaving that the massue was giving out from the strenous exercise she was going through. major LOL.

even managed to squeeze in time for a mask!:)

DAY THREE- Sunday

it was a bit of a rush. coz there was so much i wanted to do! it was hard to squeeze in everything but we managed to do it! time for breakfast! made a humongous sandwish for him. which he subsequently had trouble eating.

Timee to... shop!

Platinum mall this time round was disappointing. maybe coz of time constraint, i had this time limit i had to adhere to since i wanna drop by Pratunam market as well. but luckily bf found jeans he could fit there. hahaa.

Pratunam market was definitely better!!!! i got this fab smart casual jacket for only 15SGD and its of cuduroy material! Simply Fab. then we had to be at the hotel for us to change by 5.30 pm since that is the pick up time for the cruise.

we made it safe and sound and was there 30 min earlier! The pier and the boat looked great! very good place for photo taking opportunity. I didnt expect to see the pink/blue sky at dusk.

There was song and dance on the cruise. 3 traditional dances. by the same 3 dancers. hahaa. a cultural experience and it was good.

The food was so-so til we reached the seafood basket. huge prawns , squid and mussels!! BF loved it. i love it too, since he peeled the prawns for me. haha. after that he grew more and more happy with the cruise and eventually he enjoyed himself thoroughly. good. trust my decision, ya? hahaha . perhaps he liked it more than me. lol.

The sights were fabulous. I specially like the bridge. the architecture of it is so unique , eye catching and left an impression on me. it looks so good on my hp cam already!
And the pair of us were invited to just join in their dance, just to make a fool of urself. a pleasant experience which ended in a hand garland of flowers. conclusion :Bf love the cruise more than i did. hahaha.

And then, its back to hotel. massage. and then its the first time i enjoyed soaking in bath tub! Fab! ;) and morning came and we had to go to the airport. Goodbye hotel!! i miss u!;(

feel asleep on the transfer to hotel. then we learnt that the flight back @1pm was cancelled so we had to take the next fight @ 3pm so we had the whole afternoon to walk the airport shopping centre. of course it was a torture to bf. so we also did foot massage. which i fall asleep and dreamt and actually jerked my foot outta the lady's hand, surprising both of us. gosh. i am so tired from the walking, shopping and bargaining!


The meal was sponsored by Thai Airways since our flight was cancelled. kinda, 300 baht each but we ate more than that. we just kept walking / resting/ window shopping til its time to board.


Yet another pleasant trip with TG and i didnt wanna come home. i tried their white wine even. they gave passengers an orchid brooch!
we finally reached the terminal. and i am not finished yet! we dropped to see whats the fusss with T3 and then found out that the one main thing that set this terminal apart is the sheer size of it! super duper humongous. so big that we had trouble trying to take a lift to get to ground level to cab home.

i am tired!

happy bday to me

i always didnt like having a bday in january. coz i am always the oldest ... the first to have the bday over and done with.

okay, the bright side, i only need to wait a mere 24 days before i have a self-appointed holiday. @ the expense of my poor BF. oh well, tough luck. hahahahaha. just kidding K!!

i dun feel like sleeping. too excited to sleep. LOL>,<

chocolate

helllo. this is my first present. from zaw. unexpectedly, but i am pleasantly surprised. he never said or indicated this was for my bday to me, but i am gonna take it as tho it is.

Thanks Zaw! i ought not to be an ingrateful brat who only knows how to recieve and take esp in the case of him. i have to send something back to him to show my thanks and appreciation but I dunno what. i can't send him toilet cleaner, can I? ( i face toilet cleaner everyday. Random, i know)

thanks thanks thanks. not having much of a gathering this yr. so i appreciate the people who remembered and prepared something even more!

he gave a box of Bernard Callebaut chocoates. i never know this brand before but on the box, stuck a sticker proudly exclaiming it was a winner of a chocolate festival. eh... okay. written in fancy scripts with even fancier packaging so i guess, it is in the Godiva league then.

i am reminded of the quote- life is like a box of chocolate. never know what the next chocolate taste like. i think those poor chocolate suffered a bumpy air plane ride tho. those intricately shaped chocolate stuff looked like they had a few dents.

thanks for remembering me. i am touched. considering all that had happened. considering the mere distance. considering our not-very-close-yet-not-very-bad relationship. i love it.

she crippled time

nowadays, i hardly feel as though time is literately crawling ... how can one woman utters so so many words and yet it has barely crossed another minute.

i GIVE UP!


the C&C mgt class lecturer is the least liked lecturer i ever had. =S oh my god. terrible terrrribble terrrrriiiiiiiiiiible. she made the time crawl. she crippled time. she was horrible. :( why doesnt she stop reading from the slides? since she like to read from printed text so much y doesnt she read our readings for us?

i often stone during work. hope the bosses dont think its serious enuf to fire me. it's like she had placed the piece of paper in front of me and yet i am still lookin at her expectantly. *shhiiiiitt!=S

hahahaahahah. i hope they find it funny.

spent this afternoon learning a single SAP procedure and it was made up of 6 steps! i am still alien to it and glad they understand. my bosses are generous with compliments n encouragements, so i really do not want to disappoint them!

a friend of mine is facing a rough patch in her relationship. sorry i couldnt ans u before u left. ( work- what else?)

the qtn was, should i patch up with my boyfriend?

here is what auntie eee thinks.

do you think you can really grow together instead apart? esp since both of us are in different stages of live. unless you and him are totally or even just 75% alive in ur mental age... then i say chances are... u will definitely grow apart and therefore, spare urself the trauma of patching and then breaking.

one qtn which is a MUST=ask. does he want a family with in 3-5 years? do you want a family by that same time frame?

(for me, i want a family when i am 25 n above. actually i hope to give birth early so that i can have a nicer figure back more easily.)

in anycase, i guess the conclusion to patching or not will easily be solved if you know what you and him want ultimately.

relationship is a form of companionship, isnt it? how can someone accompany someone else in life when the both of them are travelling towards a different goal ultimately?

and in that case, don't you think friction will definitely occur when you are reaching for your dreams in different directions? And you will also create more fiction if and when you try to deter him from his original direction to accomodate yours unless you convince him to reach for that same dream with you.

with you. WITH. not "instead of". or "behind". or "in front". well, maybe "beside" might be tolerable as well :)

Zaw'a back!

Today:first of all. sorry to BF. coz he kana my mood swing and he still never angry with me. of course i know every1 got a limit to the nonsense that he/she can take... point noted. love u!;) So u get a public apology and declaration of love. ;P

Flashback: SATURDAY....
over msn, he mentioned that he will be coming back to Singapore. that was in December. over msn, he mentioned that he will be in Singapore on Jan 10/11.




and i almost toally forgot about it!!!!! i feel SoOOOOo guilty!!! it's like, is it Jan 11, already?!! how come I nvr realize it WAS already Jan 11 and he would be here the way he said he would, all the way from Colorado, Canada. 24 hours worth of flight and traveling time.





this was one of the bestest friend i ever made. bestest, not like a normal female BFF, but simple becoz he is so damm good! he has the brains n the humour and it always tickles me even though every sentence we exchanged, we usually laced it with every kind of latent acid availble. i LOVE it. it's fun coz we both can take the sarcasm... we r like 2 stand up commedians who cant stop arguing.





i never met a guy who cant stand arguing with me at every available opportunity and still make mi laugh so hard. * shrug. maybe becoz for every acidic sentence we shoot at each other, it also was meant NOT to be taken seriously. oh well. i missed those good old days, when i am 13, pimply, short and skinny. haix.





a bunch of his tigher circle of friends in sec sch met up. for food at newton food centre. it was fantastic. i love it. thanks to alvin for recommending. fantastic! hahahahhaahah. of course, the price was OVER but it was still good. i love the crabs!! and i've got a craving for them nowadays. those nicer pics are in his camera... =S





and those prawns were so big!!! *yummmy *drools.

after the main course, it was time for dessert. cannot bother about weight watching coz it would be such a spoil sport. gah. we actually took a bus to chinatown since we thought it would be a good idea to show him those festive celebrations singpore-style. every tourist should seen there. hahahaha. we had so many stuff!! i envy him. coz he cant gain weight. and he is not a glutton. =X

we just eat n eat ... whatever caught our fancy as we walked. then the guy has a craving for arcade. specifically Dance Dance Revolution. *horrors/gasp. isnt this SOOO over? apparently not. lucky alvin knew how to play and they both jumped around enthusiastically, eventually sweating as though they had a workout after 20 min? not sure about the time and the amt of $$ invested.

it looked so GAY lah!-.-

then the guy is up for beach! he went to Sentosa already and commented that its not a real beach. " Beach should be sand, water and sun. NOT with shipyards in the background!!" he exclaimed. and i can only agree. so from PS, we took the last train to Pasir Ris, not that the beach there is fantasitc. but ... we run out of options.

on the train, he said that those short skirts/dresses that the girls wore, are just "slutty" to him. LOL. i dun believe it that a guy can sincerely think so!!!! esp from him.

ok, i realize i nvr mentioned what's the name of this guy who took a 24 hour flight to Sg. He is the one with the biggest mouth, largest smile and happiest face. :)

hope u enjoy urself in ur remaining holiday in Sg. you nvr changed and it was as though u nvr left... it's great that our friendship can withstand the test of time and also sorry i cant send u off.

ONE WEEK ALREADY

time to access my situation.

i am focusing a lot on their excel sheets. it drains up my energy even though it is not very challenging. eh... coz it deals with numbers and i am still trying to make friends with them. hahahaha.

i got 3 superiors. all nice and down-to-earth. lynn the senior brand manager is a pretty mother, jeaneve is in her late twenties , rom-ed with a huge, sparkly diamond ring and finally loren- the filipino eligible bachelor. pls contact me if any ladies interested in eligible bachelor with pleasant personality and a cute appearance\ :) i am serious!

i look forward to learning new things with them!:)

evon got a promotion as she graduated from her degree programme already! yay! a promotion to executive. yup yup. thats what i am working towards too. but i dont look forward to class( who does?) coz i am already so tired without them. i fall asleep at nine!!! missing my faov show of the moment, ch8's the golden path. I only wake up at 7.15 am the following morning n thats 15 min late. grrrrr.

like me, she nvr grew to love the Hella products she markets and she is feeling majorly siann over it. aiyoo , i understand that feeling damm well. i will llend u my listening ear gladly, gal~:) no sweat abt it.

anyway, this is life. unfortunately, i am not hired to do something i enjoy coz when that happens, one is no longer just working. he is enjoying!! and i am not the lucky bunch of people who kana that kind of life.

work, no matter what, will be half my life. have to endure no matter what....so is my school while i still have them. i am so lucky that they dun expect me to do OT ... kekekekke, i will just die la!

and i gotten my namecard!!!!!!!! i've got two boxes!!!!!!!!! looks like i will have one entire box unopened for my farewell gift.

Happy new year. this is my first post of the year.

erm. sad to say, there seem to be no real good food near my workplace... there isnt much variety anyway. I WAN SUBWAY!!! =S


other than that... the good news is I am not miserable working there! THIS IS BECAUSE I WILL NOT BE.

my new year resolutions are as follows

1.channel all my negetive energy into feeling positive!=)

2.smile at every opportunity.

3.drink lotsa water.

the main unbrella principal covering the 3 resolutions is NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
